What is Art Therapy?

In these sessions, Artistic expression is truly in the hands of the beholder, where you can expect to collaborate with your therapist on whether you would like a free-flow and non-structured way of artistic expression, or if a guided path is more to your liking. The Art Therapy Process

1. Initial Assessment and Goal Setting

  • Freedom of Expression: Clients are encouraged to express themselves freely without concern for artistic skill or final product.
4. Exploration and Reflection
  • Discussion of Artwork: The therapist and client discuss the created artwork. This discussion focuses on the client’s thoughts, feelings, and interpretations of their art.

5. Processing Emotions and Insights
